The Kahun Danda trek is a relatively new and peaceful hiking trail in Pokhara. It is perfect for those who want to explore mountain villages, nature, and enjoy spectacular views of the snow-capped mountains. This trek takes only 1-2 hours and is less crowded than other popular hiking trails in the area. The route passes through beautiful villages and forests with colorful rhododendron flowers, making it an ideal trip for nature enthusiasts.
Kahun Danda is located on the northeast side of Pokhara valley and provides an excellent view of the Annapurna range and Pokhara valley. The trekking route is as spectacular as the Sarangkot and Peace Stupa trek, but with fewer crowds. The trek also offers a glimpse into rural life, encounters with various ethnic groups, and splendid sunrise and sunset views.
The Kahun Danda day hike begins in downtown Mahendrapul and takes about two-and-a-half hours to climb uphill. The trail is perfect for those who want to explore Pokhara’s natural and cultural diversity. The route passes through a rhododendron forest with waterfalls, terraced farmland, and beautiful mountain panoramas.

Day1: On the first day of the trek, we will start by driving from Pokhara to Hemja, and then begin the hike towards Hile Kharka which is situated at an altitude of 2160m. Our route will take us through Ghachowk along the way.

Day2: We will embark on a trek from Hile and make our way towards Khumai Danda, which is located at an elevation of 3245m.

Day3: We will trek to Korchan Danda at an altitude of 3700m, and then descend towards Ghachowk. From there, we will drive back to Pokhara.
